What is Comprehensive System Solutions (CSS)?

What is CSS? You may have seen the logo in our marketing materials or perhaps you’ve heard it mentioned in a conversation.

But what exactly is it?

The fact is that CSS isn’t easy to summarize in a slogan or a catch phrase. And although it may sound like some mysterious organization out of a spy novel, CSS wasn’t devised as a marketing ploy.

It started in the spring of 2006. We had just forged a relationship with MK Imaging, the world’s premier supplier of OPCs and toner, and the only major manufacturer to co-engineer these critical components together as part of a matched system. Future Graphics Imaging Corporation was a successful company before the partnership with MK Imaging, but the new partnership poised us to become the world’s leading distributor of aftermarket imaging supplies, and with that challenge came responsibilities. We understood that in a changing market, high-quality matched systems was only one key to growing the remanufacturing industry. The proliferation of OEM technology had narrowed the window of opportunity for profits, and commoditization meant margins were growing tighter for everybody. IP issues were also becoming increasingly important. What was needed was a comprehensive strategy to address the OEM challenges and ensure healthy, profitable business for everybody.

The core of CSS is partnership. It all radiates from the idea of taking the most experienced professionals in the remanufacturing industry and teaming them up with the most quality-minded suppliers in the world. Together we analyze the market and conduct economic feasibility studies. We break down the cartridge, analyze the critical components and benchmark against the OEM. We then establish a Future Graphics Imaging Corporation performance baseline that is consistent and geared to meet the most rigid end user expectations. CSS is NOT about over-engineering. We understand that remanufacturers do not want expensive, obsolete jigs and parts lying about their facilities. That’s why we engineer cost-effective remanufacturing solutions to meet TODAY’S remanufacturing challenges — from disassembly to reassembly. The instructional material/literature (including videos) for these solutions is always free and always available without hassles on our website. Finally, CSS is about training. We are always there for our customers, whether it is inviting them to our facility, traveling to their facility, setting up webinars, or even video conferencing. At Future Graphics Imaging Corporation we provide the most hands-on experienced experts in the industry.

To sum up the crucial points of CSS that your business can always rely on:

  • First-to-market with critical releases
  • Highest output capacity and technical capability chemical color plant in the world
  • Largest and most technologically advanced lab and testing facilities in the world
  • Cost-effective remanufacturing solutions and free, easy web access to instructional materials
  • Coordinated customer technical support
  • STMC-tested monochrome laser product
  • IP due diligence

What are the concrete results of CSS? Future Graphics Imaging Corporation has been first to market with ALL critical releases in the last three years, including complete matched systems for the HP P1005/P1006; P1505; M1522; the HP P4515 and the HP CP1518.

All of the elements of CSS are illustrated by these releases. They were developed because they are deemed to be important products that will fill niches in their respective market segments. For example, the CP1518 replaces the HP 2600, the most successful entry-level color printer ever. The CP1518 is a higher quality color printer than the HP 2600 and will be attractive in retail. Future Graphics Imaging Corporation‘ complete matched system for the CP1518 family includes chemical color toner and co-engineered drum, wiper blade, doctor blade, chip, seal, combination sealing/drill-hole fixture, and drum shipping protector. Future Graphics Imaging Corporation is first to market with this CSS, including the chip. Most importantly, because of the rapid development of these products so soon after the OEM releases (in one case just 3 short months!), remanufacturers are assured great profits.

We hope this helps you understand how CSS is our commitment to you, the remanufacturer, and to the remanufacturing industry as a whole. If you have any other questions or would like to know what other CSS releases are on the horizon, feel free to call us or email.
