FGIC Releases Matched System for P3015

Los Angeles, CA – Future Graphics Imaging Corporation, the world’s leading distributor of high-quality Comprehensive System Solutions for remanufacturers, announces the release of a superior matched system for the HP P3015 remanufactured cartridge.

Released in the fall of 2009, the 42 ppm P3015 replaced the P3005 series while utilizing the same basic engine technology. Aspects of the cartridge architecture, however, are slightly different. For example, the OPC for the P3015 has a similar drive gear element to the P2055, but the two are not interchangeable.

Only six months after the OEM release, FGIC is offering a specially designed MK Imaging toner that shows exceptional ID, lower backgrounding and better toner consumption lower than the OEM.

The new MK Imaging toner for P3015 remanufactured cartridges is available for both the standard (CE255A) and high yield (CE255X) cartridges.

FGIC has also developed a lightweight, easy to use tool (patent pending) that quickly removes the OEM drum drive element and easily reinstalls it onto the MK Imaging drum while preventing damage.

The MK Imaging toner, OPC, compatible wiper blade and drum drive gear tool are in stock now and ship from convenient locations around the globe.

To see test data, contact your FGIC sales rep or download a detailed “Engine Overview” on fgimaging.com. Remanufacturing instructions for the P3015 are also available for free download.

FGIC Releases Universal Mag Press for HP Remanufactured Cartridges

Los Angeles, CA – FGIC, the global leader in Comprehensive System Solutions, is pleased to announce the release of a universal mag press for HP cartridges.

The new patent-pending universal mag press, designed in-house by the engineering team at FGIC, quickly and easily removes and inserts different types of mag roller hubs, including those for remanufactured HP 4200/4300/4345, HP 4250/4350, HP P4014/P4015/P4515, HP 5200, HP 8100, HP 9000 and HP/Canon WX monochrome cartridges.

The universal mag press is a great tool to improve the quality of your remanufactured product. It provides consistency in TIR (Total Indicated Runout) and helps reduce banding, a common print defect that results from improper installation of the mag roller hub. There is also less risk of damaging the mag hub and sleeve during removal and installation.

The color-coded adaptors and storage rack allow for an organized work space and improved efficiency.

The universal mag press ships with easy-to-follow instructions and is reliable, safe, and convenient.

Whether you’re doing 300 cartridges a month or 300,000, the universal mag press from FGIC can increase your profitability.

Las Vegas, NV – Future Graphics Imaging Corporation, the global leader in quality aftermarket supplies, demonstrated its industry-leading color solutions at the Recharger Magazine World Expo at Mandalay Bay.

Future Graphics’ Will Niederstadt gave a seminar on the differences between conventional and chemical color toner and Craig Rummler and Gerrardo Martinez (Spanish) taught classes entitled “Building Color Quality” that detailed the methodology of building the best color cartridge from core selection to the testing process.

At the FGIC booth, engineers performed hourly demonstrations of solutions for the most critical HP color engines, including the recently released CP3525/CM3530(TM) and CP2025/CM2320(TM). The demonstrations included the latest patent-pending fixtures for sealing and jigs for the proper gapping of doctor blades, an often overlooked step in providing consistent color quality.

FGIC engineers also demonstrated a patent-pending tool for removing the drum drive gear element from the P2055 OEM OPC and a patent-pending universal mag press for HP 4200 series, HP 4015, HP 5200, HP 8000/8100/WX, and HP 9000.

The tools, fixtures and education are just part of FGIC’s “Comprehensive Systems Solutions(TM)” approach to the aftermarket, which results in the highest quality matched systems the industry has to offer.

Llamados los "Gran Hermanos" de la familia CP1518, las CP2025/CM2320 apuntan directamente al canal SMB (negocios pequeños/ tamaño mediano).

Los Angeles, CA – FGIC is pleased to announce a first-to-market release of a Comprehensive System Solution(TM) for the HP CP2025/CM2320.

This 'comprehensive solution,' which is one of three released in just two days, includes an OEM-like sub-6-micron chemical color toner specifically designed for this engine and a co-engineered OPC, full-emulation compatible replacement chips, patented doctor blade cleaning tool, and sealing system.

Most aftermarket toners for this engine are conventionally produced, which not only incurs greater costs for the supplier, it also results in poor yield and overfilling of the waste hopper.

Called the 'big brothers' to the CP1518 family, the CP2025/CM2320 are aimed squarely at the SMB (small-/medium-sized business) channel.

Since CSS(TM) was started in May of 2006 it has help launch over twenty-five high-quality first-to-market matched systems of critical engine releases. But CSS is not only about quality matched systems, it is also about the support and education necessary to help remanufacturers build and sell to diverse markets all over the globe.

Future Graphics unveils First-to-Market Solutions for Critical HP Releases at World Expo

LAS VEGAS, NV – Future Graphics, the world's leading supplier of quality aftermarket imaging supplies, unveiled its complete matched systems for critical HP releases at World Expo 2008, including recently released solutions for the HP P4515 and HP CP1518 families.

The first-to-market solutions, which were introduced just four short months after the OEM releases, included MK Imaging toners and co-engineered MK Imaging drums, chips, blades and, in the case of the CP1518, a sealing/drill-hole fixture and a gapping measurement device.

The higher-quality CP1518 family replaces the HP 2600, the most widely placed entry-level color machine ever. The chemically-produced toner released by FG for the CP1518 has demonstrated excellent color vibrancy, density and OEM levels of background.

The P4515 replaces the HP 4350. At 62ppm, it is the fastest laser printer ever and is more evidence of HP's designs on capturing market share in the enterprise channel. FG has developed a low melt point polyester toner for this engine that does not exhibit fusing difficulties.

“HP's new line of printers creates further opportunities for the imaging industry,” says Luke Goldberg, Sr. VP, Future Graphics. “These new products exhibit no barriers to remanufacture, which allows our customers to reap the immediate profits that new products engender -- in fact, just four short months after the printers were released. We are excited because both printers will accelerate consumables usage in two of the fastest, least-tapped channels of sales in the R and R market: the Micro SMB for the 1518 family, and large enterprise-types of customers for the 4515 family.”

Future Graphics has now been first to market with matched systems (including chips) for the HP P1005/1006/1505; HP P4014/4015/4515 and HP CM1312/CP1515/CP1215/CP1518, the most critical HP releases of the last three years.

Future Graphics was also pleased to be able to introduce customers to its line of dedicated HP chips. The new chips have provided savings of up to 50% off what remanufacturers were previously paying for ‘universal’ versions, helping to maintain profits and reduce production issues while providing 100% functionality.

In today's era of proliferating technology there exists a narrow window of opportunity. Only Future Graphics ensures the timely release of quality matched systems that remanufacturers need to stay profitable.

Future Graphics and MK Imaging Volunteer Resources to Provide Hands-on Remanufacturing Instructions for the CP1518 and P4515 and P1005 family at World Expo

LAS VEGAS, NV – Future Graphics New Product Development Manager Craig Rummler, Development Engineer Gerardo Martinez and Technical Support Director Paul Rossi volunteered their time and expertise at World Expo 2008 to provide remanufacturers hands-on instructional guide in how to rebuild the most critical new HP releases. They were joined by engineers from MK Imaging.

The courses included remanufacturing instructions for the HP P1005/1006/1505; HP P4014/4015/4515 and HP CM1312/CP1515/CP1215/CP1518, the most critical HP releases of the last three years.

“It's always rewarding to personally interact with remanufacturers and to provide hands-on technical support,” said Craig Rummler, a twenty-plus year veteran of the aftermarket imaging industry. “The new releases by HP will generate a lot of aftermarket demand, and I'm confident that my colleagues and I at FG detailed the clearest, most accurate instructions available for these engines.”

Training is an integral part of Comprehensive System Solutions(TM) (CSS). Future Graphics recognizes that it is very important that remanufacturers be well versed in FG matched systems, as well as the design of patent-pending fixtures that help overcome barriers to producing high-quality cartridges.

Future Graphics is globally recognized as the quality leader in HP matched systems. To learn more about CSS or to download remanufacturing instructions for all HP engines, log onto the FREE, award-winning website, futuregraphicsllc.com.

Future Graphics’ Robert Goldstein, Lionel Brown Inducted into Recharger Magazine’s Inaugural Hall of Fame

LOS ANGELES, CA - It was announced by Recharger Magazine in June that Robert Goldstein, President and CEO, Future Graphics and Lionel Brown, COO, Future Graphics would be inducted into the inaugural Recharger Hall of Fame in Las Vegas on Tuesday, August 19.

For over twenty years, Robert Goldstein and Lionel Brown have been key figures in helping build a tiny cottage industry into the global, multi-billion dollar enterprise that it is today.

“We’re very honored,” said Mr. Goldstein. “I grew up with this industry, so being recognized with the understanding that our industry has matured and professionalized means a lot. It has helped me grow personally too. It has been a fun ride in the company of great people.”

Quipped Mr. Brown, “This industry has been a learning experience for me. Sort of like David and Goliath with the OEMs being the Goliath. The next time that I am inducted into a Hall of Fame, I would prefer the Goliath role if that can be arranged.”

Other inductees include Mr. Avi and Yoel Wazana of MSE; Mr Arnald Ho of Print Rite and Mr. Ed Swartz of SCC.

“I look forward to personally congratulating each of these extraordinary people on their success in and contribution to our industry,” said Recharger Group Publisher Adam Schaffer. “Choosing this initial group took a great deal of thought on our part, and we have a group that well represents the best this industry has to offer, from quality contributions to legislative work. While each inductee has contributed mightily in a number of areas, it is in the Recharger Magazine Hall of Fame that we can honor them in a category in which they excel to the highest levels.”

There will be a short ceremony preceding the Recharger Magazine’s 2008 Readers Choice Awards on Tuesday, Aug. 19 at the Palm Foyer in the Mandalay Bay to honor the inductees.

Future Graphics Introduces Cost-Saving Seal Insertion System for Remanufacturing HP(R) 2600(TM) Color Cartridges

LOS ANGELES – Future Graphics announces a new Comprehensive System Solutions(TM) (CSS) patent-pending seal insertion system for HP(R) 2600(TM) color cartridges.

Developed in the Future Graphics Research and Development Center, the innovative seal insertion system works without heat and without requiring the removal of the toner adder roll. Instead, the combination of fixture, tools and clamping mechanism properly aligns the new seal for maximum adhesive area coverage. This new system does not cause alterations of critical gaps and tolerances in the cartridge, reducing the potential for leaking/toner dusting.

A part of Future Graphics' Comprehensive Systems Solutions(TM), the seal insertion fixture and tool set (HP2600SEALCSS) greatly simplifies the remanufacturing of the cartridges for this globally placed line of SOHO color printers.

First to Market Comprehensive System Solution(TM) for HP(R) P1005(TM)/P1006(TM), P1505(TM), M1522(TM)

LOS ANGELES, CA – Only five months after the OEM release, Future Graphics is pleased to announce a complete Comprehensive System Solution(TM) (CSS) for the HP(R) P1005(TM)/P1006(TM), P1505(TM) and M1522(TM).

Replacements for the 1012 series, the P1005(TM)/P1006(TM), P1505(TM) and M1522(TM) monochrome desktop printers are the lowest-priced SOHO channel laser printers ever released by HP. At just over 4 cents per page, the OEM consumables represent the highest ever cost-per-page for an HP(R) monochrome printer, which translates as great profit opportunities for remanufacturers.

The Comprehensive System Solution(TM) from Future Graphics includes performance-matched MK Imaging toner and OPC, fully functional chip, wiper blade, recovery blade, doctor blade, lay-in seal and drill-hole fixture.

It was first confirmed at the MK Imaging and Future Graphics Research and Development Centers that the OEM product uses a magnetic polymerized toner that was previously unseen in the market. The solution developed by MK Imaging/Future Graphics is a specially formulated pulverized toner that has been engineered to perform similarly to OEM magnetized chemical toner when used in conjunction with a co-engineered MK Imaging drum. Due to this proprietary process, and efficient toner usage, the solution from FG will not cause waste bin overflow while meeting OEM standards for page yield.

Another critical aspect of CSS is the design and production of affordable and easy-to-use tooling and jigs. The patent-pending drill-hole fixture for the P1005/P1006 and P1505 simplifies the remanufacturing process and reduces damage risk to the auger. There are two separate jig holes to accommodate the differences of the P1005 and P1006 and a fill plug is included with the kit.

"While many may view new technology as a threat, we at Future Graphics LLC view it as an opportunity for the aftermarket," said Luke Goldberg, Senior VP, Future Graphics. "The first months after a printer release, the OEM enjoys a 100% share. This represents a huge opportunity for our customers as opposed to older technology as it becomes commoditized. New technology allows FG and our customers to set themselves apart from lower-cost producers who cannot ― and will not ― invest in the leading-edge technology that is necessary for the long term success of the R and R industry."

All of the supplies and components for remanufacturing the P1005/P1006 and 1505 are in stock and ready to ship.

Ask your Future Graphics LLC sales rep for a complete new product release kit which includes technical specs, OEM benchmark information, and critical component analysis.

Future Graphics Releases Comprehensive Solution for Remanufacturing HP(R)4700/4730/CP4005(TM) Color Cartridges

LOS ANGELES -- Future Graphics is pleased to announce the release of the latest innovation from the Future Graphics Research and Development Center: a complete remanufacturing solution for the HP(R)4700/4730/CP4005(TM) color cartridge. A part of FG’s Comprehensive Systems Solutions(TM), this patent pending fixture and tools set (HP4700SEALCSS) provides a quick, safe and consistent method of drilling and resealing the cartridge every time.

The FG remanufacturing system for HP(R)4700/4730/CP4005(TM) color cartridges works without heat or splitting the cartridge. Future Graphics’ experienced staff engineers highly recommend this method of insertion sealing for high-gram-load color cartridges in order to eliminate leaking issues during transportation. The FG method also helps to maintain critical cartridge gaps and tolerances that can be compromised when splitting cartridges.

The Future Graphics fixture initially works as a drill guide. When used in conjunction with the FG drill hole bit with stop collar, a new fill-hole can be safely and easily made in the cartridge without damaging the interior mechanisms. The combination of fixture and tools then properly aligns a new seal for maximum adhesive area coverage. The safe, easy-to-use process requires little training, saves time, avoids wasted seals, allows reuse of the OEM spindle and provides a high quality seal. Future Graphics toner, chips and compatible components for the remanufacturing process complete the matched system solution.

Complete instructions and a video demonstration of the FG remanufacturing process for the HP(R)4700/4730/CP4005(TM) can be seen online at Future Graphics’ award-winning, free website: http://www.futuregraphicsllc.com. No password or registration is required.

Whether you are doing 300 or 300,000 cartridges a month, Future Graphics is dedicated to providing innovative solutions that increase productivity and profitability for remanufacturing cartridges for the most popular engines on the market today. Patent pending, due diligence assured, the new FG remanufacturing solution for the HP(R)4700/4730/CP4005(TM) color cartridges is another product of Future Graphics’ Comprehensive Systems Solutions(TM).

Future Graphics Demonstrates Comprehensive Systems Solutions(TM) for HP(R) 2600(TM) at Southwestern International Imaging Technology Council Meeting

LOS ANGELES -- Scott Nabers, Senior Technical Support Specialist, Future Graphics, provided a hands-on workshop on remanufacturing the HP(R) 2600(TM) color cartridges at the Int’l ITC Southwest Chapter Meeting, on October 13th in San Antonio.

The HP(R) 2600(TM) color laser printer is a profitable engine to remanufacture, but often presents daunting challenges if a supplier hasn’t committed to extensive research and development. Scott demonstrated the Future Graphics solution, which consists of a matched toner and drum, systems-qualified components and patent-pending fixtures and tools to quickly, safely and reliably remanufacture the HP(R) 2600(TM) color cartridges.

Scott was joined by an audience volunteer who quickly mastered the processes and tools developed in the new FG Research and Development Center. The feedback was extremely favorable, with several remanufacturers remarking that they had seen all of the current solutions on the market, and rated the FG solution the most effective.

“I think these tools benefit any remanufacturer, regardless of size,” said Scott, “They truly make the remanufacturing of this cartridge much more efficient and profitable. The ease of use was demonstrated by the fact that an individual with no prior training was able to remove the drum from the waste hopper on his first try.”

The International Imaging Technology Council (Int'l ITC) is a not-for-profit trade association that represents the interests of the world's imaging supplies industry. The Southwest Chapter meeting is a regional gathering organized to keep the imaging aftermarket connected and informed of the latest developments in the remanufacturing and refilling industry.

Through Comprehensive Systems Solutions(TM), Future Graphics is committed to providing dependable, cost-effective real-world solutions for all the issues faced by the remanufacturing industry.

All Future Graphics’ compatible replacement chips are 100% lot tested.
Future Graphics Files Patent Applications for New Remanufacturing Devices

Includes Many Innovative Devices for Today’s Most Profitable Color Cartridges

LOS ANGELES -- Future Graphics is pleased to announce the filings of eleven patent applications for the latest remanufacturing tools, fixtures and processes developed by the 100-plus engineers and technicians in the Future Graphics Research and Development center.

The eleven patent applications include a great variety of innovative solutions for today’s most profitable engines, including a complete system for remanufacturing the HP(R)2600(TM) color cartridges. This industry-leading system consists of a drum-cutting tool (HP2600WHHOLD) and securing fixture, which allow safe and easy removal of the OPC without damaging the waste hopper. There is also a toner hopper drill hole guide and custom hole saw (HP2600THHOLD) that avoids damage to the toner cartridge interior ribs or sweeper blade. This fixture also ensures proper alignment of the doctor blade every time. Used properly, the total system reduces the risk of cartridge damage to zero for increased profitability.

Future Graphics has also filed patents for fixtures and tools to make remanufacturing the HP(R) 4700(TM) family of color cartridges more profitable than ever. This system (HP4700SEALCSS) provides a quick, consistent method of effectively sealing the toner opening port and installing a high quality seal that does not displace toner exit port plugs and includes three separate patents for the components that compose it.

“Patents for the Comprehensive Systems Solutions(TM) developed in our labs are a vital part of ensuring a steady, reliable supply of remanufacturing solutions to our client base,” says Denny Holmes, Engineering Manager, Future Graphics. “Enabling our customers to build their businesses is our goal.”

Other filings include hopper conversion systems that convert low-cost, standard-yield toner cartridges into versatile high-yield cartridges. Simply harvest the OEM empty for the key components – mag roller, doctor blade, etc. – and install them into the FG pre-built, generic toner section complete with seals, a fill hole – no drilling required – and the pre-built waste hopper. The resulting remanufactured cartridge is a single SKU until a new chip is installed designating the cartridge’s final model. Presently, these systems are for converting the HP(R)2400(TM) cartridge into a P3005(TM) cartridge or vice-versa and converting the HP(R)1160(TM) or 1320(TM) cartridge into an HP(R)1160(TM) cartridge.

Other innovative patent filings for color engines include a drum pin removal tool (DRPINTOOL2) for remanufacturing a wide variety of HP(R) toner cartridges, including the HP(R)3000(TM) series and HP(R)4700(TM) family.
“Our industry relies on the availability of tools and techniques that allow for effective remanufacturing of printer cartridges. In the past, third parties have obtained and asserted patent rights which limit the number of available tools and techniques for remanufacturers. FG doesn’t merely patent our technological advancements to protect our own intellectual property. FG has made it a priority to protect the industry against third parties threatening the availability of tools and processes that are integral to our industry. This will allow FG customers to freely adopt our new and highly effective remanufacturing solutions without being exposed to threats of IP litigation,” says Lionel Brown, Chief Operating Officer, Future Graphics.

Dedicated to the remanufacturing and refilling industry, the Future Graphics’ Intellectual Property legal team, which includes an in-house patent attorney, qualifies its products and solutions by conducting IP due diligence to protect its customers from IP-related liabilities.

“We are in the business of selling products to customers in order to help them remanufacture laser cartridges,” says Fred McIntosh, Senior VP Technology, Future Graphics. “By having Comprehensive Systems Solutions(TM), this enables our customers to be able to produce quality products and provides the expertise they need to further their business.”

FG Completes $750,000 Lab Expansion and Equipment Enhancement

LOS ANGELES -- Signaling confidence in a healthy future for the remanufacturing industry, Future Graphics is pleased to announce a $750,000 investment to expand its Development and QA laser labs and incorporate the latest in state-of-the-art equipment in its Los Angeles corporate headquarters.

“We are continuing to make significant investments in our technical infrastructure to ensure that we always have the necessary tools to deliver the highest level of technical support that the industry has ever seen,” says Luke Goldberg, senior VP, Future Graphics. “We are already proud of our industry-leading hands-on experience, including a technical staff with an average of 12 years of remanufacturing experience. Our mission is to couple our real world hands-on knowledge with extensive analytical capabilities that makes us second to none.”

Future Graphics has invested heavily in color testing equipment. One powerful new addition is a 7’x7’ walk-in environmental chamber, which greatly diversifies color testing criteria by reproducing specific atmospheric conditions and extremes that replicate the type of problems seen in the real world, such as wiper blade flipping.

Future Graphics to Implement $1 Million Oracle E-Business Suite

Los Angeles, CA - Future Graphics is proud to announce it has partnered with Oracle to implement Oracle’s E-Business Suite software solution. This material investment in information technology has been made possible, and necessary, by the substantial growth that FG has enjoyed over the past few years.

An exhaustive process to identify a replacement for Future Graphics’ existing business software resulted in FG’s management team recommending an Oracle solution. “We are pleased to be partnered with Oracle, as Oracle and its E-Business Suite are positioned as clear leaders in the software industry, particularly for a rapidly growing mid-market business, such as FG,” says David Key, CFO Future Graphics. Oracle is the world's leading supplier of software for information management, and the world's second largest independent software company.

Powered by Oracle's world-leading enterprise software, Future Graphics will possess a high performance database environment to supply highly detailed, critical business information. The new system will aid in the reduction of transaction times for, among others, sales, purchasing, warehousing and logistics operations, and will automate and simplify many routine systems and management tasks, including business accounting.

Future Graphics’ customers will benefit from 24/7 online ordering, and will have access to real-time account data. Customers will be able to track orders, invoices, payments, and returns online. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software will help to minimize time periods related to call response, follow-up and resolution management. Future Graphics’ account representatives will have quicker access to more detailed information in order to support customer’s inquiries, inclusive of real-time freight quotes. Improved logistics and shipping data management will provide customers access to track orders online, and receive order status details.

In order to improve overall quality, customer’s technical concerns and issues will be captured and analyzed through the use of improved database functionality. The goal is to resolve technical issues more efficiently and effectively. The use of a highly functional database will allow FG’s technicians quicker access to relevant answers.

The Company anticipates the completion of its implementation, which will lead to a ‘go-live’ event, in the fourth quarter of 2007.

"Future Graphics is dedicated to our industry and to continually improve its service levels, providing what our customers need when they need it," says Lionel Brown, COO Future Graphics. "This $1,000,000 investment in an Oracle solution is a very tangible demonstration of our commitment and belief in the future of the remanufacturing channel."

Future Graphics Announces Winners of FG-sponsored Contest for Free International-ITC Cruise

PRESS RELEASE – April 2007

LOS ANGELES —Future Graphics congratulates Andy Schwark of Ink Cycle and Karl Justice of DI Laser Products for winning the FG-sponsored contest for a free Int’l ITC cruise aboard the Royal Caribbean. FG announced the winners on March 16, 2007, after receiving an enormous amount of entries from customers all over the globe.

Andy Schwark and Karl Justice will each receive a trip for two and will have the opportunity to join in the first ever Int’l ITC annual conference aboard the Royal Caribbean. Taking place from May 3 to May 7 and traveling from Ft. In addition, there will be a round table discussion on the challenges facing our industry, which range from technological to legal, and the direction in which we as an industry are heading.

“Future Graphics is once again demonstrating their unwavering support for the industry and its trade association, while simultaneously giving something fun and unique to its customers,” said Tricia Judge, Executive Director, Int’l ITC.

Founded in 2000, the Int’l ITC helps its members meet the challenges of an ever-changing industry that has grown to become a global network of imaging service providers by placing an emphasis on quality of products and excellence in services.
Future Graphics Presents Positive News for Remanufacturing Industry at ReView 2007

Details Why Laser-basd MFP Proliferation and Non-Traditional OEM Inroads into the Enterprise Channel Spells Great Future for Remanufacturers

SAN ANTONIO, TX —At Recharger Magazine’s Review 2007 Summit in February, in San Antonio, Texas, Future Graphics presented encouraging news for our industry in a seminar focused on the new channels and opportunities that laser-based Multi-Function Printers (MFPs) present.

Speaking to 80 representatives of some our industry’s most notable companies and trade publications, Luke Goldberg, Senior Vice President, Future Graphics, delivered a powerful message about the trend in MFPs and their positive implications for the R & R industry. Entitled “Laser-Based MFP Proliferation: New Channels and Opportunities for the Remanufacturing Industry,” Luke detailed all the key products and their anticipated demand, as well as trends in monochrome and color and the players to watch. Mr. Goldberg also reviewed OEM offerings across the distribution matrix and analyzed the channels of sales and distribution.

“As I stated in my presentation,” said Mr. Goldberg, “one very interesting aspect of the MFP proliferation is that HP is attempting to wrestle market share from Xerox in the Enterprise channel. This allows traditional copier offerings to be replaced by laser-based consumables which would obviously be very positive for our industry.”

“The seminars and presenters at ReView 2007 were nothing short of first rate,” said Phyllis Gurgevich, publisher of Recharger. “From new market opportunities to new technologies, ReView offered a wealth of information that attendees will be able to take back and put into practice.”

Across all channels, MFP growth was significant in 2006. According to Lyra, monochrome MFP shipments were up 8.6% and color MPF shipments were up 38.1%. Since MFPs are laser printerbased, the remanufacturing industry will have an immediate opportunity for sales and service. Consumables consumption will also be higher due to the broad MFP capabilities and increased usage of color.

Remanufacturing Viewpoints Technology and Business Summit, or ‘ReView,’ is sponsored by Recharger Magazine. The two-day intensive conference brings together experts on escalating technology issues and the markets that are impacted. Conference participants learn about business strategies, market statistics and underlying technological advances in the industry that will shape the way business is conducted.

For a complete PowerPoint file of Luke’s presentation, contact your sales rep or the marketing dept at FG.
